Yokomizo Seishi<\/strong> amava il giallo.
\nNato a Kobe<\/strong> il 24 maggio 1902, visse i suoi primi anni fra la casa e la farmacia di famiglia.
\nBenestante, intelligente e appassionato di scrittura abbandon\u00f2 bottega per seguire il suo sogno: il giallo.
\nSi trasfer\u00ec a Tokyo<\/strong> a met\u00e0 degli anni 20 dove lavor\u00f2 come editor e curatore per la casa editrice Hakubunkan<\/em> specializzandosi in Thriller. Il suo lavoro era leggere i libri degli altri, ma continu\u00f2 anche a scrivere.<\/p>\n

Fu la Tubercolosi per\u00f2 a trasformarlo in un giallista a tutti gli effetti.
\nI suoi libri Onibi<\/em> – Fuoco fatuo<\/em> e Ningy\u014d Sashichi torimonoch\u014d –<\/em> Memorie del detective Sashichi detto Bambola<\/em> scritti durante il periodo di convalescenza sui monti di Nagano vennero pubblicati fra il 1935 e il 1938. Ed ottennero il desiderato successo.<\/p>\n

Fugg\u00ec dall’incubo delle bombe dei raid aerei americani nascondendosi insieme ai genitori in un villaggio della Prefettura di Okayama<\/strong>.
\nCon la fine della Seconda Guerra Mondiale<\/em> la popolarit\u00e0 di Yokomizo ebbe un’ ulteriore impennata.
\nLe sue storie tramate di mistero, suspense e oniriche presenze catturavano sempre pi\u00f9 lettori.<\/p>\n

Seishi Yokomizo<\/strong> era definito il John Dickson Carr<\/strong> giapponese, principale interprete americano di quel genere di polizieschi che trattano delitti irrisolvibili (Enigma della camera chiusa)<\/p>\n

Per i giapponesi amanti del giallo Seishi Yokomizu \u00e8 un mito. Per gli italiani invece \u00e8 sostanzialmente un esordiente.
\nQui da noi sono stati pubblicati ad oggi solo 2 titoli: L’ascia, il koto e il crisantemo<\/em> e il detective Kindaichi.<\/em><\/p>\n

Il 29 Settembre 2020 sar\u00e0 presentato a Milano il terzo titolo di questo autore.
